Another busy week for Plum Buffets, with lots of events and a lot of lunches! Just how we like it.
This week we were asked to cater for several corporate events in Birmingham, Coventry and Wolverhampton.
Plum Buffets gets a lot of requests for corporate events, with some of our valued customers depending on our services so often that they only have to email “we need a buffet for this many people on this date” and we already know what menu they’ll require, what sides they’d like and what time they’ll need it for!
For us at Plum, customer satisfaction is everything, and nothing says customer satisfaction like a customer returning to your catering services time and time again! We provide tasty, filling, nutritious and above all else fresh catering every time, and our huge range of dedicated clients shows that the proof is in the pudding (also within our catering repertoire!)
But sometimes, these companies come to us, and they want something a little more extravagant, a bit more of a treat! This could be for a variety of reasons; a company executive is visiting, a valued staff member is retiring, or a special training week is taking place and they want to treat their employees with a tasty lunch at the end of it! Whatever the occasion, we love the excuse to spoil our guests and show off our culinary talents.
This week, we catered for a corporate event at Assa Abloy in Birmingham, for a chair-holder’s convention. Together, we created a special three day fine dining lunch menu for them, with a variety of hot and cold dishes for them to devour after a long morning of board meetings! We knew that this menu had to impress, and deliver both flavour and sustenance! Not a problem for Plum though!
Filling food doesn’t have to mean death by beige!
In addition to a selection of fresh meat and veggie wraps and rolls, some of the delicious dishes we served throughout the week included warm goats cheese and red onion tartlets, sliced tomatoes and mozzarella with a balsamic glaze, a selection of fine cold cut cured meats, Italian antipasto, wild mushroom quiche, hot red Thai chicken skewers with a sweet chilli dip, spring rolls with Dim Sum, prawn cocktail, a fresh mint and olive oil pasta, chargrilled garlic and sundried tomato chicken with feta. And long gone are the days of sad brown salads, we served all this up with a peppery wild rocket salad with parmesan shavings.
And of course; some naughty cupcakes for those who’s still had room for a sweet treat after all these amazing savouries! We received so many compliments from satisfied guests, but especially received compliments on the Chargrilled garlic chicken dish, a scrummy recipe from our founder Lee!
Lindsey from Assa Abloy, Birmingham told us it was “the best chicken she’s ever tasted, and so healthy too!”
We also had many jealous colleagues wandering through the corridors, commenting on the beautiful smells and how inviting everything looked… So of course, once the big dogs had been fed, Plum invited the rest of the staff to come and try our delights! Happy tummies all round, and happy customers make for a happy Plum team!
